Weeping Rock
Weeping Rock The bottom half of the mountainous rock is hard shale. The top half is porous sandstone. Water seeps through the sandstone and when it comes down to the dense shale, it trickles out the side of the rock.
Ten years ago Joey and I spent our honeymoon at Zion National Park. Over the weekend we went back for the first time with the kids! We took a drive through the tunnels, looked at the checkerboard rock and then hiked up to the Weeping Rock. I was so good to remember my camera but left the memory card at home in the computer. The picture here of Weeping Rock is something I've borrowed off the internet, but a nice woman from Washington took a picture of us promising to email it to me in a week when they get back home. How nice!
