I got to create some illustrations for Vixen Vintage's business cards! It was so much fun to do and I think they turned out very cute!

I gave her a high quality scan of these that she can upload onto a site for making business cards, and I will give her the originals of course, but just for fun I fooled around with the images on zazzle.com putting in her cute tagline in text. (ignore the margin line, that's from zazzle and not part of the design.)

The good news was, her brothers finally let her play with them! The bad news, she didn't really know how to be "Princess Underwear."
I had two brothers, but luckily I also had a sister who knew how to play Barbies, and princesses. This painting is dedicated to all of the poor girls who have brothers but no sisters to protect them from having to be Princess Underwear.
She knew "Rachel's Sister" wasn't just what people called her, it was one of her personality traits as well.

After painting "Rachel's Sister" I noticed that she was a little bit boring and realized she must just be in the shadow of a more popular sibling. I then remembered a story from the Bible about a girl, Leah, that was completely in the shadow of her hotter more popular sister, Rachel. I think a lot of us with siblings can relate to being (fill-in-the-blank)'s sister (or brother for that matter.)
