I had so much fun painting these paintings for Allison of Skeinny Girl. (for those of you non knitters/crocheters like me that call a ball of yarn a, well, ball of yarn, it's actually called a skein.)

My sister and I had thin wispety hair when we were girls. My grandmother sewed us some silky hair. Despite the "little Bo Peep" comments, we LOVED our yellow hair and knew we were gorgeous whenever we would put our hair on. As you can see by the baby dolls in the pictures, my other grandmother knitted and crocheted. All of this inspired me to paint Hair Knitters. (That's me in blue.)
