Bonnie Blue Ribbon ACEOs

This little painting makes me think of the song Oh, Dear, What Can the Matter Be? It's the song where she wonders where Johnny is because he promised to buy her some "bonnie blue ribbons" from the fair.  But I guess in this case she already has the blue ribbons, yet, she's still looking for him.

Unbeknown to her, he wasn't just saying hello.  Inside his mitten he was using the secret language of love (ASL) to say, "I love you."
