Ignoring "the Situation"

Just as these parents are trying to ignore their baby's circus acrobatic talent, please ignore the fact that I sometimes sketch on annoying lined journal paper.

Jack

It is pretty obvious that this picture takes place about two or three years into the future.  For one thing, as of now, Jack is merely the size of a sea monkey.  Another dead give away is the scarf hat and gloves that his mother knitted for him...(in the present, his mother hasn't even learned to knit yet!)
